Wage & Hour Rights and Responsibilities
Wage Payment: Employee rights consist of:- Pay for all earnings made (INFO # 3) at the rate accepted by the employer and employee.
– Pay of a minimum of minimum wage (INFO # 1), the suitable Colorado or regional minimum wage, and all made overtime wages without impermissible reductions from their salaries;.
– Pay of all earned wages without impermissible reductions (INFO # 16).
Labor Statutes, Rules, & Published Guidance
Statutes & Rules: DLSS implements much of Colorado’s wage and hour and other kinds of labor statutes and labor rules, consisting of the Colorado Wage Act, the Colorado Overtime and Minimum Pay Standards ( » COMPS Order »), and the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. Please go to the Division’s Labor Statutes and Labor Rules web pages for present and prior variations of crucial Colorado labor statutes and guidelines.
Published Guidance: The Division’s main types of public guidance are:- INFOs (Interpretive Notices and Formal Opinions) – the Division’s officially authorized notices, opinions, and descriptions on various labor law subjects; and.

Written Demands, Complaints, & Investigations
Demands & Complaints for Wages: If an employer owes you wages, you can send your company a composed demand for payment of incomes by mail, email, text message, or other electronic means. A written demand might be sent out to the company at the exact same time a Labor Standards Complaint Form for overdue wages is submitted with the Division. Employer Responses in Investigations: Once a complete Labor Standards Complaint Form is received and evaluated, employment a letter explaining the nature of the problem and the quantities declared to be owed is sent to the employer. If you want to file an individual claim for overdue salaries, you should fill out a Labor Standards Complaint Form on our Demands, Complaints, Responses, and Settlements website. To appeal a direct investigation citation or several Notices of Assessment, a supposed company may submit a Direct Investigation Appeal Form.
